808 Graphics DTFilm Transfer Pressing Instructions

Your premade gang sheet will arrive as a 1 piece roll. You’ll need to cut each design from the roll of transfer film. 

 Recommended Starting Settings

(These are the settings used at 808 Graphics)

• Temperature: 270°F
• Time: 7 seconds
• Pressure: HEAVY, firm, even pressure

⚠️ All heat presses are different. These settings are a starting point. Minor adjustments may be needed based on your press, garment type, and environment.

Step-by-Step Pressing Instructions

1. Prepare the garment
   
• Pre-press the garment for 2–3 seconds to remove moisture and wrinkles.
2. Press the transfer
   
• Position the DTFilm transfer on the garment.
• Press at 270°F for 7 seconds using HEAVY pressure.
3. Hot Peel
   
• Peel the film immediately while hot, using a smooth, confident pull.
4. Final Press (Seal the Design)
   
• Cover the design with canvas cloth or parchment paper.
• Press again at 270°F for 7 seconds using HEAVY pressure.

Important Notes

• Do not slide the heat press during pressing.
• Pressure should be consistent across the entire design, especially for larger gang sheet transfers.
• If issues occur (lifting edges, poor adhesion, or dull finish), adjust pressure first, then time or temperature if needed.
